1. Accept donation of a Permanent Greenway Easement on a portion of Tax Parcels 053-011-31, 053-251-15 and 053-261-05 (+/- 7.45 acres) from Pacolet Rapid Commerce Park Owner, LLC and Beacon RCP, LLC, for future Long Creek Greenway
2. Accept donation of Tax Parcels 053-011-33 and 053-011-49 (+/- 4.06 acres) from CC Rapid Commerce Owner LLC and Beacon RCP LLC for a future local park

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Park and Recreation is requesting approval to accept donation of Permanent Greenway Easement (+/- 7.45 acres) from commercial property developers, Pacolet Rapid Commerce Park Owner, LLC and Beacon RCP, LLC for future Long Creek Greenway on a portion of Tax Parcels 053-011-31, 053-251-15 and 053-261-05. Park and Recreation is also requesting approval to accept a fee-simple land donation of Tax Parcels 053-011-33 and 053-011-49 (+/- 4.06 acres) from CC Rapid Commerce Owner, LLC and Beacon RCP, LLC, required by City of Charlotte approved re-zoning plan 2021-284. The properties are vacant and located in the City of Charlotte off Rhyne Road near Mt. Holly Road. They are surrounded by both commercial and residential properties.
The donation will allow access to future Long Creek Greenway from the new Rapid Commerce commercial development and also provide open space for the adjacent residential community, Rapids at Belmeade.
The donation is consistent with Park and Recreation’s master plan, Meck Playbook, that calls for the addition of parkland, greenway and open space within the County.
