BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Coalition for Housing is continuing progress on the FY12 strategic plan that addresses the issues associated with ending and preventing homelessness. A key focus is the pairing of supportive services with affordable housing opportunities. One means of expanding these opportunities would be a County-funded Supportive Services Fund that would provide:
ยท      Culturally competent supportive services  for individuals and their families experiencing homelessness and at imminent risk of homelessness, or housed in a scattered-site or single room occupancy permanent supportive housing program.
