BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Mecklenburg County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) received $2,051,713 in FY25 funding from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (NCDPS). The Board approved item #24-0206 on April 16th, 2024, and it was increased by $8,655 with NCDPS Discretionary Funds, which the Board approved item #25-0288 on May 20th, 2025, to recognize, receive, and appropriate the funds for Mecklenburg County Criminal Justice Services.This funding plan update is due to two programs updating their local funding match. Youth Development Initiatives-YDI Family Life Skills Academy, is increasing their local in-kind match and Youth Style Fitness, Inc is changing part of its local funding from In-Kind to cash match.
