BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
In 2003, the Town of Davidson and Mecklenburg County executed a Land Development Services Interlocal Cooperation Agreement that allowed the County to enforce certain ordinances within the corporate limits of the Town of Davidson and the Town’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction.
Since implementation of the Agreement, the Town of Davidson annexed land located within Iredell County into its corporate limits. In order for Mecklenburg County to continue to provide Land Development Services in this area of the Town of Davidson, the Agreement must be amended and agreed to by Mecklenburg County, the Town of Davidson, and Iredell County.
The Agreement has been executed by the Town of Davidson and Iredell County. Mecklenburg County Storm Water Services requests execution of the Agreement by Mecklenburg County Board of County Commissioners.
