ACTION:
1) Authorize the County Manager to execute the Master Joint Property Use agreement with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education for joint use of identified CMS and County properties for recreational and school activities.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Mecklenburg County and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools/Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education currently hold shared use agreements for each of the 32 separate joint use properties. This Master Joint Property Use agreement will combine those individual agreements into one master agreement.
The proposed Master Joint Property Use agreement is automatically renewable annually and easily allows for the addition and removal of properties as needed from time to time.
The same general terms will apply to all properties with allowance for special provisions as needed and no use fees payable by either party.
It also provides for semi-annual meetings between CMS and Mecklenburg County to monitor impacts to both parties and improve cooperation.
