ACTION:
1. Amend the 2026-2027 Budget Ordinance in the General Fund (0001) to allow the carry forward of unspent funds from the 2025-2026 Budget Ordinance in the amount of $636,675 for capital improvements to the Edgewater Farm Park.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The FY2026 budget included funding in the amount of $900,000 to make upgrades to the Edgewater Farm Park, located at Beatties Ford Road and US 73 in Huntersville. The planned improvements include extending a waterline, ADA improvements, utility upgrades, and other site improvements. At the end of FY2026, $636,675 of the funding remained unspent, and work on the site was underway. An amendment to the FY2027 budget is needed to carry the funds forward from FY2026 and complete the upgrades.
