ACTION:
Authorize the County Manager to execute all documents necessary for acquisition of 1) a permanent greenway (+/- .078 acres), a permanent access easement (+/- .493 acres), and a permanent stormwater easement (+/- 1.866 acres) on Tax Parcel 025-113-14 from Perimeter Lofts JML, LLC and Perimeter Lofts Turnbridge, LLC on Long Creek for a purchase price of $21,250

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Long Creek Greenway and Stream Restoration Project is included in the County’s current CIP and is a joint project between Park and Recreation and Stormwater Services. The project is in the Northlake area of Charlotte and construction is anticipated to begin summer/early fall 2020. To complete the project, easements on tax parcel 025-113-14 are necessary. The owners of the parcel, Perimeter Lofts, LLC and Perimeter Lofts Turnbridge, LLC, have agreed to convey the easements. The easements were appraised and valued at $21,250 and the purchase price is also $21,250. Acquisition of property interests for greenway purposes is supported by the County's adopted Park and Recreation Master Plan. Per Board policy, acquisitions for greenway projects that are for appraised value and are $30,000 and under are considered on the consent agenda rather than in closed session.
