BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office is requesting approval to dispose of original NC Safety Training Certificate documentation, which was part of the concealed handgun permit application packets. As required by the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (NCDCR), the Sheriff's Office submitted a request and received approval from NCDCR to dispose of training certificate documentation, which was part of the concealed handgun permit application packets. The original supporting documentation has been scanned and duplicated by electronic means. The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office is committed to the proper management and disposition of records.
