Action

ACTION:

Amend the 2023-2024 Annual Budget Ordinance to recognize, receive and appropriate an increase in federal revenue and expenses in the amount of $50,000 from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health (DPH), for essential services and core functions of public health, in the General Fund (0001) within Public Health.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The North Carolina DPH has allocated funding from the ARPA Temporary Savings fund to enhance the ability of the local health departments to deliver the essential services and core functions of public health. Mecklenburg County Health Department has been allocated $50,000 to support activities authorized under the General Aid-to-Counties Agreement Addendum.
